Tomorrow is setup day for the 20th Braintree Real Ale Festival.

This year we have:

  • 17 Real Ales from Essex breweries
  • 16 Real Ales from across the midlands
  • 14 Ciders

With beer styles ranging from golden through to Porters; and traditional through to flavoured ciders. We are sure that we have something that you will like.

Less than three weeks until the start of the 2025 Braintree Real Ale Festival.

As always the festival will run from Thursday to Saturday, 5th to 7th June, at the Braintree Institute, Bocking End.

We can now announce that the 19th Braintree Real Ale Festival 2024 will be held on:
6th, 7th and 8th June.

Entrance cost is £2.00 ph (Free for CAMRA Members).

Glass cost £3.00, refundable unpon exit.

As always the festival will be at the The Braintree Insitute. (Formally known as Bocking Arts Theatre).

A big thank you to everyone who attended and made the festival so much fun. It was a blast, and we hope you had a good time.

The 18th Braintree Real Ale Festival Is Ready To Go

It is that time of year. We have had all the beer and cider delivered. It is all racked and labelled. The cooling is on and we wait it all to settle and be ready to drink.

We open at 11am Thursday, Friday and Saturday. General admission £4 including a glass, £2 for Lion and CMARA members. £2 refund for return of the glass.

Do you want to be a Braintree Real Ale festival sponsor?

Braintree Real Ale festival relies not only on drinkers visiting the festival but also their sponsors.

We offer the opportunity to any business, organisation or individual to sponsor a barrel of beer or cider.

For £60 you would get your name on a barrel, two entry tickets and some beer vouchers. Your name will also appear on the festival booklet and website beer list.
